Dr. Jacob Mathew is the President of
International Cyber Business Services, Inc. (www.icbs.com)
a web development firm he has founded in 1995. He is internationally
known for founding of
holisticonline.com,
a website for health. It is now ranked as one of the top 5 websites for
integrative medicine (health). In November 2004, Google, Inc. has
invited ICBS to enter into a business partnership with it, a rare honor
extended to only the very best companies.
ICBS, Inc., the website development firm
founded by Dr. Mathew, has developed several award winning websites. Its
latest creation
specialgifts.com has already established as a niche
portal for selling gifts that are in harmony with the mind, body, and
soul. It has already attracted customers from all continents. It was
recently featured in the TV program, “Living in Style”, a syndicated
program that was shown all over the US with over 70 million viewers.
Dr. Mathew is also President and CEO of
Inspiracom BioTech, a start up company that explores opportunities in
Biotechnology and Healthcare. Inspiracom BioTech is involved in
developing remedies for several neurological diseases. The company owns
a library of compounds and works in collaboration with several European
universities. One of its molecules has shown promise in treating
Alzheimer’s Disease.
Dr. Mathew has been featured in the largest
circulating newspaper in India, media in Australia and New Zealand,
appeared in Gary Null Radio Show, a syndicated radio program that is
carried on over 100 radio stations throughout the US and on the web, and
was invited by late Casper Weinberger, Chairman of Forbes Magazine, to
appear in a TV program on eCommerce. Locally he had been featured in
Akron Beacon Journal, Inside Business, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Crain’s
Cleveland Business, and in Hudson Hub Times.
Dr. Mathew is a 1971
graduate of IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Kharagpur where he
graduated at the top of the class. He bagged numerous prizes and awards
from IIT including the first prize in General Proficiency in four years
in a row, the best undergraduate thesis award, and the Silver Medal of
the Institute. He obtained his advanced degree in Engineering from
University of Pittsburgh and EMBA from Baldwin Wallace College. At
University of Pittsburgh, he was honored as the “Outstanding Graduate
Student.”
Dr. Mathew had been
the automation program Manager at TRW, Inc. and PCC Airfoils, Inc.,
Director of Engineering and Quality at Kovatch Castings, Inc., and
President of Summit Manufacturing, Inc. before founding ICBS, Inc. He
has received several awards for Technical Excellence at TRW, Inc. He has
authored numerous papers and book chapters. He has also delivered
several keynote speeches in important conferences.

Dr. Mathew held positions such as Board of
Directors of NEOSA (a division of the Greater Cleveland Partnership),
member of the small business program council of Greater Akron Chamber;
member of Executive Dialog of Greater Akron Chamber; member of Board of
Advisors of Business and Technology Group of NEOSA; member and webmaster
of Mind Body Interest Group of the Case Western Reserve University
School of Medicine, VP and Webmaster of ASEI (American Society of
Engineers of Indian Origin) Ohio Chapter, Program Chairman of 20th
ASEI National Convention, VP of Toastmasters International, Program
Chairman of Kerala Association of Ohio and founder of the NIAN –
Northcoast IIT Alumni Association. He is a member of the Academic
Advisory Council of Mar Thoma College of Management and Technology (MCMAT),
India and is very active in the community and business organizations.
Jacob and his spouse,
Shila Mathew, MD., a psychiatrist with Kaiser Permanente Health System,
live in Hudson Ohio. Shila studied her Pre Degree and B Sc Botany at UCC. His daughter, Seena, is a Post Doctoral Research
Fellow in Neuroscience at University of Texas - Austin. His son, Madhu,
is a 2nd year medical student at Midwest University in
Phoenix, AZ. |
