UCC Days

Studied at UCC from 1970 to 73, doing a B Sc in Physics when Prof T B Thomas was the HOD. Stayed at the New Hostel during the first year and at Holland for the subsequent years.

After Leaving UCC:

After Physics at UCC, Sunil went to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras where he did a M Sc in Physics and Electronics and then moved to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay to do a M Tech in Computer Sciences.

Sunil had been employed between 1978 and 2001, mostly working in the middle-east, except for a short period at Air India. Since 2001, he had been running Acette Technologies (http://www.acette.com ), an IT services business in the middle-east. Acette's main office is located at the Dubai Internet City (DIC) in Dubai and another at KOM (a facility similar to the DIC) in Oman.

Family:

Sunil's wife Suja and children live in Canada, near Toronto. He has three sons, Ashok (24) who has just started working after graduating in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University; Amrith (21) who is doing a co-op year in between the third and fourth year of Mechanical Engineering which he is doing at Queen's in Kingston. The youngest boy Ajay (16) has just started the 11th grade.

You are Sunil's Classmate but cannot Remember him?

Here is a confession from Sunil: "For those trying to place me, an early warning....I probably did not spend a lot of time in class, so I might have been a stranger to many who did! However, I recollect most of the afternoons were in the side room of the Canteen (or was it called the Students Centre?), playing TT with Abraham Mathew and the evenings at the cricket ground!"
