Two alumni awarded Ph. D.
Capt. E.I. Anila (M. Sc. Physics 1984–`86 Batch), faculty in Physics, UCC, has been awarded Ph D. from CochinUniversity of Science and Technology, Kochi for her thesis entitled 'Luminescence Studies of Strontium Sulphide based Phosphors for Display Applications'. (Research supervisor: Dr. M. K. Jayaraj, Reader in Physics, CUSAT) Dr. Anila is also in charge of NCC wing of the college.
Mrs. K. D Girija (M. Sc. Botany 1981 – `83 Batch) faculty in Botany, SNM College Maliankara has been awarded Ph D. by the Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam for her thesis entitled Ecological and phytochemical studies in the family Podostemaceae. (Research supervisor: Dr. Thara K. Simon, Faculty in Botany). Dr. Girija is the 5th alumnus that receives Ph D from the Department of Botany, UCC.
