| Onam Celebrations:
The various associations and hostels of the college celebrated Onam in the traditional style. The staff and students were looking forward to the Onam celebrations on Friday 20th August. Colourful programmes were arranged in all the departments and the interdepartmental competitions added flavour to the cultural activities. Dept. of English won the first prize for the Tug of War, while the best Pookkalam was that of Zoology dept.

Visit of the United Board Trustee
The college continues to keep the tradition of welcoming the international community to the campus. Dr. Kano Yama Moto trustee of the United Board for Christian Higher Education visited the college in August 2004.
Mentoring programme for the junior faculty
A training programme was arranged for the young faculty of the college on 21 July. All the members enjoyed the leadership style and mentoring of Prof. T. O Thomas, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences.
Rank holders
The dept. of Physics continued to ransack the Mahatma Gandhi University ranks. Nishanth S. Kuttan secured second rank in BSc. Computer science and Babitha S. got first rank in Computer Maintenance.
Two more doctoral degrees from Research Centre, Dept. Of Botany
The Dept. of Botany is holding high, the flag of excellence in field of research. M. G. University awarded Ph. D. degrees to Miss. Geetha K. and Prof. T. T. Cheriyan.
Geetha was the student of the Dept. for her B. Sc. and M Sc., developing her research interests under the supervision of Dr. Thara K. Simon. With her expertise in Environmental Science Geetha is leading a new department as a lecturer in Kesari Balakrishnapilla College North Parur.
Prof. T. T. Cheriyan, former HOD of Bharath Matha College Thrikkakkara worked on a very relevant topic, the fungal post harvest diseases of fruits of Kerala under the guidance of Dr. K. I. Mani Vargherse.
