Prof. K. E. Leelamma's Visit to USA
May-June 2007


Biodata of Prof. K.E. Leelamma

Dr. K. E. Leelamma MA. Ph. D (Clinical psychology), is the Professor of Psychology at Union Christian College, Aluva, Kerala, South India. She has 30 years of experience in the field of teaching, research and extension activities. Dr. Leelamma is the member of the Union Christian College Standing Council ( The supreme administrative body of the college). Currently she is working as the secretary of the ecumenical faculty forum, the Inter Church Fellowship. She is in charge of the counseling centre and gender studies division of UCC. Also serving in the Internal Quality Assurance Committee and International Faculty Exchange Programme Committee of the college. She is also a life member of All India People's Council for Social Justice.

In 2004-2005 Dr. Leelamma visited Austin College Texas to work on a project on Women Leadership. She has been actively involved in the community extension activities of UCC through the projects of Indian Council for Social Science Research . Her area of specialization is quality of life and stress tolerance of women. She will be available to deliver lectures on these issues.

Dr. Leelamma will be visiting the USA in May-June 2007. She will be representing the college in signing an important MOU between Hope College, Holland, MI and UCC establishing formal links between these two premier liberal arts colleges. While in the US, Prof. Leelamma will also be meeting with US based alumni of UCC to solidify the links between the alumni and the college.
